Flagship window robot whose station washes the pad for you

Quick verdict · checked Oct 14, 2026

The most complete window robot sold in the US right now, because the station washes the pad between panes and the battery frees it from wall outlets. It makes sense for homes with lots of large or hard to reach glass. If you have a few ordinary windows, reviewers agree a squeegee is cheaper and often faster.

Best for: large picture windows and glass walls. Skip if: you only have a few small windows.

What independent reviewers found
Cleaned a 4 by 3.5 ft window in about 2 minutes in Fast mode, but left streaks, missed parts of windows with tapered frames and once stopped after cleaning only one corner. Reviewer judged it hard to justify at $700.
Gizmodo (via Gizmodo Japan translation)
Results were better than hand cleaning with precise edge coverage over several weeks; left a faint outline where the pad stops and sometimes reported being stuck.
CyberShack · 4.5/5
Station returned a clean, damp pad in about 1 to 1.5 minutes; good on normal dirt and edges, heavy build up still needed manual work.
TechRadar (Netherlands)
Hands on found streak free results with the Ecovacs solution and strong edge cleaning, with a faint pad outline that sometimes needed a wipe.

Questions buyers ask

Do I need an outlet near the window?

No. The station has a battery and Ecovacs rates the robot for up to 130 minutes of cleaning per charge.

What happens if it loses power on the glass?

Ecovacs says it stays attached for over 30 minutes at low power, and the cord to the station doubles as a safety rope rated to 100 kg.

Does it clean the window frame?

No. It cleans glass up to the edge; frames and sills still need a cloth.
